Overview
AW8 Cafe & Eatery Management System is an operational management platform developed to adapt the cafe's entire service and business processes into a single integrated system. The system covers cashier operations, shift management, order management, inventory, attendance, monitoring, and reporting.
Challenges
Cafe operations involve multiple interconnected processes, requiring transactions to be integrated with shifts, inventory, and reporting. The system needed to adapt to a customer-service flow based on customer names rather than table numbers. Cash management requires consistent calculations between opening cash, transactions, expected cash, closing cash, and tolerance. Transaction changes such as cancellations or order updates must maintain inventory and financial consistency. User activities need to be traceable to support operational monitoring and auditing.
Solution
The system was built by integrating the cafe's entire operational workflow into a single platform. The POS is connected to shift management so each transaction affects the active cash calculation. Order management uses customer names and queue statuses to match the service process. Inventory uses a stock movement ledger to maintain a history of stock changes. Attendance combines GPS and selfie verification for attendance validation. Role and permission management restricts access based on user responsibilities, while activity logs provide an audit trail of system activities. All modules were designed to adapt to the service and operational needs of AW8 Coffee & Eatery in an integrated platform.
